Bluff Shoal Motel is affectionately named after the historic Bluff Shoal Lighthouse once operated off the coast of Ocracoke Island. Nestled in the shady oak trees at the center of Ocracoke’s village, the Bluff Shoal Motel has welcomed guests since 1966. With new owners at the helm, the property recently completed an entire overhaul; including a new community back deck, the return of our harbor deck, as well as updated room furnishings and amenities! We are excited to welcome guests to the renovated Bluff Shoal Motel!  

Bluff Shoal Motel has stayed true to its origins and feeling of nostalgia while refreshing the rooms and grounds for an updated and fresh take of simpler times on the island. Park at your door and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of reading or people-watching from the front porch or back deck. Use our waterfront deck to watch for wildlife and activities in the harbor.
