Experience real southern hospitality at the unique First Colony Inn on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. 

Start your morning with a complimentary breakfast at either The Dunes Restaurant or The Grits Grill, both located just minutes from First Colony Inn. If you wish to have breakfast, please come to the front desk before 5pm the day before or after 8:00am on the day of to pick up your Breakfast Voucher. You will use your voucher for a complimentary breakfast at either restaurant. Please present your voucher to the wait staff prior to ordering. The Dunes Restaurant is open daily except Tuesday, and The Grits Grill is open seven days a week.

Lounge by the pool or follow our private boardwalk to the beach. Read or play games in the library. End your afternoon with a friendly game of croquet. After dinner, enjoy the sunset from a rocker on the encircling verandas. The Outer Banks sunsets are spectacular.

The rooms at First Colony Inn are as individual as our guests. Each has a private bath with fluffy towels on a heated towel bar and English toiletries. A television, telephone, and refrigerator are standard in each room. Luxury rooms boast wet bars and kitchenettes, and some have Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs, sitting rooms or private screened porches.
