The Roger Bailie Room has a king-sized bed with handmade cherry panel headboard. The room has a refrigerator, microwave, flat screen television. There is also a private bathroom, heated towel bar and room safe. Room 2 is on the 1st Floor, northwest center and connects to Room 3. Additional room features include a Keurig coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
"Great stay - We loved where we stayed. Had a front porch, back deck and a sitting area on dock overlooking the bay and could see the light house. We were able to walk to most stores and resorts. So Enjoyed it!!!"

"Older but very clean - This is one of the older hotels on the island. We stayed off season and were the only quest that night. In fact we never saw the staff. Our room was left open with the keys and the next morning we left them in the office. Goes to tell how great this little town is. Very trustworthy. The hotel is located right downtown giving it easy walking to most things of interest. It is one of the older hotels. Definitely no extras but it was very clean and looks to have been freshly painted. I would stay again. "

"PERFECT! - LOVED IT!! - My wife and I had a WONDERFUL time celebrating our 41 anniversary (Dec 30, 2024) and we LOVED staying at the Bluff Shoal Motel!! We GREATLY ENJOYED 5 days and 4 nights of peace and relaxation! The motel manager, Sissy, was EXCEPTIONALLY kind and helpful!! We understood that late December is NOT the tourist season and many stores and restaurants were closed. But just the right number were open for us to find exactly what were looking for! THANK YOU SISSY and THANK YOU OCRACOKE for our WONDERFUL visit!! We are VERY GRATEFUL! See you again, God willing!

"Cute Little Place / Fair Price - This is a very clean mom and pop owned hotel with basic amenities. The staff was very friendly. It is walking distance to food, shopping, and the ferry terminal. I will probably stay again when traveling through again next year. I highly recommend. "

"Traveling to NCCAT and needed a safe space for one night. This is the quaintest, and sweetest place I have ever stayed. So many updates and comfiest bed! Coffee on the deck overlooking the water was just a perfect addition! The website accurately depicts the motel. Id love to stay again when I travel back to Ocracoke, NC!"

"The Bluff Shoal was perfect. Our large group occupied almost all of the rooms so we got to see the interior of several rooms. They are up to date with a vintage, coastal charm and very clean. They must have been recently remodeled. Our room had front and back porches. The back yard and deck at the water is a great place to hang out any time with plenty and of seating. Great view of Silver Lake. Location is perfect for walking or biking around town. Parking right in front of the room was a plus. Easy, contactless check in and out."
